Writing And Making An Effective Presentation
Class time: 8 hours
This class presents all the basic information to enable you or your staff to write and deliver a presentation that is clear, concise, understandable, and most importantly, meets the needs of your audience in a way that is comfortable both for the speaker and the listener. Some of the topics covered include:
 Identifying your goals and objectives.
 Making sure your presentation is client-centered.
 Deciding what to say and how to say it.
 Use of audiovisuals whether for a one-on-one meeting or for a large group.
 Dealing with nervousness.
 Answering even difficult questions without losing control.
 Letting the audience know how you want them to respond to your presentation.
This class includes many of the topics listed in our Presenting From A to Z class, but less time is available for practice and critique.
Each participant will make a five-minute videotaped presentation about a business topic on which he or she is currently working. Individual feedback will be provided.
